Suraiya Syed focuses her practice on workers’ compensation insurance defense, representing employers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators in all aspects of workers’ compensation litigation. She also enjoys litigating uninsurable claims, including Serious and Willful Misconduct and 132a claims. Throughout her career, she has developed a well-earned reputation for her strong work ethic and commitment to achieving highly favorable outcomes for her clients.
Suraiya earned her Juris Doctor from Texas Tech University School of Law, where she externed with the Innocence Project and clerked for the Regional Public Defenders Office for Capital Cases. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Denver with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in Wellness and Health. She was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2025.
Outside of her legal practice, Suraiya enjoys traveling, relaxing at the beach, and spending quality time with her husband, children, and close friends. She also keeps a keen eye on current affairs and is fluent in French, Hindi, and Urdu.
