Sandy Soo is a seasoned attorney with nearly two decades of dedicated experience in workers' compensation defense. Since transitioning to this field in 2007 after a brief tenure in creditor and bankruptcy law, she has built a reputation for providing aggressive, efficient, and cost-effective legal representation. Her practice is centered on protecting the interests of municipalities, public entities, and major employers—including those with self-insured and high-deductible policies—while maintaining fairness and equity for all parties involved.
Ms. Soo is highly regarded for her meticulous case analysis and proactive approach to litigation strategy. She excels at high-exposure litigation before the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board, including complex matters such as asbestos, hearing loss, chemical exposure, and cumulative trauma claims. She works in close partnership with claims examiners, risk managers, and human resources professionals to develop defense strategies tailored to the unique operational needs of each client. Ms. Soo earned her bachelor's degree in Molecular and Cell Biology, with a minor in Asian American Studies, from the University of California, Berkeley. She received her Juris Doctor from Western State College of Law. During her time in law school, she demonstrated strong advocacy skills as a member of the Moot Court and excelled academically, receiving Witkin Awards in Advocacy and Property. She also gained valuable legal insight during her externship with the California Court of Appeal.
Outside of the professional arena, Ms. Soo enjoys exploring California’s diverse culinary landscape and attending food-centric events with family and friends. She is also a passionate music lover who enjoys attending live concerts and a devoted supporter of the Los Angeles Dodgers.
