At Bradford & Barthel, Mr. Nieto aggressively represents employers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators in workers’ compensation matters throughout Southern California. His comprehensive practice includes regular appearances before the WCAB, conducting depositions of injured workers, managing complex lien resolution, and meticulous settlement preparation.
Mr. Nieto's background as a certified human resource professional provides a significant advantage in workers' compensation defense. His prior experience in Human Resources advising managers on California labor and employment issues, conducting employee trainings, and managing a contracts database for a Southern California office furniture dealership gives him a valuable, inside perspective on the operational challenges and legal complexities faced by employers.
A native of Los Angeles who grew up in Orange County, Mr. Nieto earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Arkansas School of Law. While in law school, he gained practical legal experience through the school’s Transactional Clinic and served as a corporate counsel extern with Walmart at its corporate headquarters. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication from the University of California, Berkeley.
Outside of his practice, Mr. Nieto enjoys traveling, attending concerts, and cheering on the Anaheim Ducks.
