Marisa Martin brings "prosecutor's precision" to the field of workers' compensation. Before turning her full focus to defending employers, insurance carriers, and TPAs in all aspects of California workers' compensation, Ms. Martin sharpened her legal skills as a Deputy District Attorney at the Tulare County District Attorney's Office. Her years in criminal law honed an investigative eye and a courtroom-tested ability to vigorously negotiate the best possible resolutions for her clients or, when necessary, assertively litigate to achieve their goals.
Ms. Martin attended Pepperdine University, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism. She went on to earn her Juris Doctorate from Pepperdine University School of Law, along with a Certificate in Conflict Management from the prestigious Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution.
A global citizen, Ms. Martin’s legal perspective has been shaped by her international studies. As an undergraduate, she studied in Germany, where she met her fiancé. While in law school, she studied international law in both Germany and London; in the latter, she had the distinction of arguing moot court at the Royal Courts of Justice.
When she isn't advocating for her clients, Ms. Martin captures the world through her camera lens, hikes California's beautiful landscapes, and mentors her high school alma mater's Mock Trial team. She also enjoys maintaining her command of Spanish, German, and American Sign Language.
