As a member of Bradford & Barthel’s Oakland office, Mr. Adil’s primary area of practice is workers’ compensation defense. He appears at the Oakland, San Francisco and Stockton WCAB’s, in addition to ADR cases. Mr. Adil also does asbestos defense.
Nasir F. Adil attended the University of California, Irvine, where he graduated cum laude, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. He received his Juris Doctorate from Golden Gate University School of Law and is admitted to the State Bar of California. In law school, Mr. Adil served as Student Bar Association President, was Best Oralist at his school’s Appellate Advocacy Competition, and received the Paul S. Jordan Achievement Award.
Mr. Adil began his career in workers’ compensation in law school working as a paralegal at Breall and Breall LLP, where he wrote trial briefs and various petitions to Workers’ Compensation Appellate Board, drafted letters to adjustors for resolution of claims, and negotiated lien claims with claimants. He knew he wanted to pursue a future career in the field when he was able to communicate with clients and assist in the closure of files.
Prior to joining Bradford & Barthel, Mr. Adil worked as a project manager in discovery services for some of the best known patent litigation and mergers and acquisitions firms in the bay area. His duties included managing teams of attorneys working on high profile cases and extensive communications with partners and senior associates.
Outside of his work activities, Mr. Adil is a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, enjoys working out, and is an avid sports fan. He also enjoys 1980’s pop culture trivia and spending time with his wife and children.
