Michael Weir began his workers’ compensation career as a claims examiner following his graduation from Cal State Fullerton. Quickly thereafter, decided that he wanted to become an attorney. Mr. Weir continued working for insurance carriers while attending Western State College of Law, ultimately working five years as an examiner before embarking on his legal career. Since then, he has dedicated nearly two decades to the legal practice of workers’ compensation.
Mr. Weir has worked as both in-house counsel for insurance carriers as well as private firms. He has extensive experience with asbestos litigation, and successfully argued before the California Court of Appeal, Second Division, (General Dynamics Corp. v. WCAB (Anderson), (1999) 71 Cal.App.4th 624).
Mr. Weir is a conscientious attorney who utilizes his attention to detail and depth of experience to effectively and efficiently manage his claims. He enjoys advocating for his clients in all stages of litigation, from inception through appeal.
Mr. Weir is based in Bradford & Barthel’s Ontario office, and handles claims throughout California.
In his spare time, Mr. Weir enjoys spending time with his wife and sons, and practicing his talents as an instrument rated private pilot.
