professional bio
Jolie Abrams is an associate attorney at the Law Offices of Bradford & Barthel, LLP. Her practice is exclusively dedicated to the defense of workers' compensation claims on behalf of employers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators. Based in the firm's Woodland Hills office, Ms. Abrams vigorously defends clients' interests with the aim of mitigating any type of exposure, including Labor Code § 132a filings, Serious & Willful claims, and penalties. Her extensive knowledge of the relevant codes and case law assists her in the development of strategies fitting each case's particular complexity.
Ms. Abrams earned her bachelor's degree in Psychology and Legal Studies from Brandeis University and her Juris Doctor from Emory University School of Law, where her work was published in the Emory Corporate Governance and Accountability Review. While studying in The Hague at Leiden University and the Grotius Centre, she monitored trials related to the Rwandan genocide. Additionally, she won a moot court competition argued before judges of the International Criminal Court.
When she is away from the office, Jolie enjoys unwinding with a good book and the company of her cat, Norbert. Whether delving into a new novel or simply relaxing at home, she values quiet moments to recharge and find balance outside of her demanding legal practice.
