Mr. De las Alas’ initial introduction to representing management was in his capacity as a paralegal with the Los Angeles County, Office of County Counsel, Labor and Employment Division. He then transferred to the Workers’ Compensation Division. He has more than 14 years of experience handling liens for the County, which includes assisting the CEO's office with global settlements, negotiating liens, and taking related issues to trial. In so doing, he learned to take aggressive and thorough depositions, as well as effective direct and cross-examinations at trial.
Mr. De las Alas is licensed to practice law in California and the Philippines. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Sto. Tomas, Faculty of Civil Law, Philippines and his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from San Beda College, Manila.
In his spare time, Edric enjoys traveling with his family, as well as playing golf and basketball.
