professional bio
Mark Benson received his Bachelor of Arts degree in History with a minor in economics from the University of Colorado, Boulder in May 2005. Following graduation, he worked in various support positions for legal department of Caesars’ Entertainment and the law firm of Koncilja & Associates.
He graduated from McGeorge School of Law with honors in 2012 and earned a Witkin Award in Intellectual Property law. He was a visiting student at the University of Colorado, Boulder School of Law in 2011 for additional employment law classes.
After passing the California Bar and practicing in Monterey, he passed the Colorado Bar and practiced at a general litigation firm in Colorado before returning to California to practice on behalf of a Fortune 10 client. Due to his interest in public service, he then spent nine years as an attorney advisor with the Social Security Administration Office of Hearings Operations assisting Administrative Law Judges with disability claims. In that role he was consistently acknowledged for exemplary service and even was awarded the Commissioner’s Award for his work.
After a stint with an applicant attorney’s firm, he brings his breadth of knowledge and experience to Bradford & Barthel.
In his free time, he enjoys teaching his son how to play golf and cheering for the Kings, Broncos, and Colorado Buffaloes.
