Zahra Naghavian’s career focuses on the defense. She represents employers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators through all phases of litigation before the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board.
Prior to joining B&B, Zahra practiced at another statewide firm, thus exposing her to workers’ compensation litigation patterns throughout California. She was based in Sacramento where she developed her reputation as an aggressive legal representative who is always ready to take a matter to trial, but also prepared to compromise or stipulate a case so long that settlement represents the fairest, most expeditious, and economical resolution for her client.
Ms. Naghavian brings a distinct dual perspective to her practice: that of a business strategist and an educator. Her earlier experience as a Legal Contract Manager honed her ability to identify risk exposure early to minimize financial liability. Thereafter, her experience as a law professor for over an half decade allows her to break down complex legal concepts effectively, ensuring clients are well-informed partners about their defense strategy options and the relative strengths of each.
Zahra earned her Master of Laws (LL.M.) in U.S. Law and Policy from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, where she also obtained a Certificate in Mediation. Her academic excellence was established early at the University of Tehran, often referred to as the "Mother University" of Iran and widely recognized as the country’s most prestigious institution. Admission is determined by a grueling national entrance exam, where Zahra ranked in the top 0.05% of over 450,000 candidates, securing a full-tuition merit scholarship.
Outside the office, Zahra is an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys hot yoga and paddle boarding. She is fluent in Farsi and passionate about strategic leadership.
