Robert Porter received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the prestigious University of California, Davis in 2004, where he was on the Dean’s List. Before attending college, Mr. Porter lived near Detroit, Michigan for the first seventeen years of his life. He later received his Juris Doctor degree with a concentration in Tax Law from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento, California in 2007. He also received a tax certificate for coursework he completed in law school covering the taxation of businesses and individuals.
Before joining the firm in 2013, Mr. Porter worked for the California Parole Advocacy Program, where he defended clients at over 1,500 evidentiary and administrative hearings for the Board of Prison Terms. He then worked at the firm Hitzke & Associates doing workers’ compensation, civil litigation, criminal, and bankruptcy cases.
Mr. Porter is licensed to practice law both in the State of California and before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California. He is a well sought after attorney in the Firm’s Woodland Hills office due to his strategic experience in both applicant and defense practice.
