Monet J. McCord's theory to the defense of workers' compensation matters has always been the same: if you prepare aggressively you're likely to get a more efficient, economic resolution. Given her reputation to that effect, Monet regularly achieves cost-effect resolutions that exceed client expectations.
Monet’s professional aspiration, which encompasses her passion to study health care and provide access to justice to marginalized communities, ensures that she prioritizes the proper delivery of benefits, paying what is due and nothing more. Indeed, her background in managed health care allows a laser focus on the right medical treatment being registered to an injured worker, thus alleviating the frictional costs of wasteful and unnecessary medical treatment.
A southern California native, earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of California, Los Angeles. Upon earning her Juris Doctorate from the University of San Diego School of Law (USD), she immediately became a defense workers' compensation attorney and has never looked back.
In law school, Ms. McCord participated in Moot Court, and was awarded Outstanding Contributor to the California Regulatory Law Reporter for her report monitoring the Department of Managed Health Care. In recognition of her volunteer work to improve and enrich USD law and the community, she was awarded with the USD Enhancement Award.
In her spare time, Monet enjoys Zumba, rowing, time at the beach, and all things true-crime.
