James Gosnell graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara summa cum laude, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics. He earned his juris doctor from California Western School of Law in 2018 while working as a paralegal throughout his tenure in law school. He was then admitted to the California State Bar.
He has worked as a defense attorney representing employers, public entities, and small local businesses throughout California. Prior to changing the focus of his law practice to workers’ compensation, he sharpened his teeth as an insurance defense trial attorney. Given his background as a paralegal prior to law school, he routinely spots complex facts and issues that are dispositive to the outcome of the case.
James Gosnell prides himself on consulting with the client, developing an aggressive winning strategy, and exercising sound legal judgment. Regardless of the consequences, he develops an effective, “no-nonsense” approach which focuses on delivering the best outcome of the case to his client. He is fluent in Spanish.
In his personal time, Mr. Gosnell enjoys alpine skiing in the Lake Tahoe basin and the Eastern Sierras.
