Alina Mirzaian's practice is solely dedicated to the defense of insurance carriers, third party administrators and self-insured employers in all workers' compensation matters. In addition to cases-in-chief, she enjoys litiigating 132a and Serious & Willful claims. Believing in effective, efficacious and economical resolutions, she seeks to work closely with her clients both to ensure that she maintains timely communication and is always aware of the adjuster's goals.
Before her role at Bradford and Barthel, Alina dedicated her skills as a Staff Attorney to the Inner-City Law Center's Homeless Veterans Project. In this capacity, she advocated for veterans, representing them for VA claims benefits and military discharge upgrades. Alina brings to her work over a decade of voluntary service as a Claims Agent and holds the designation of Accredited Veteran Claims Attorney from the Office of General Counsel at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
Alina's career before law saw her excel as the Director of Contracts Management, where she honed her expertise in managing both commercial and governmental contracts, focusing on negotiation and risk mitigation. Her professional journey includes significant roles at Castle and Cooke, World Oil Corp, and Motorola Solutions Inc. Academically, Alina is accomplished, holding a BS in Business Management, an MBA with a concentration in Organizational Behavior, a Juris Doctor, and a master’s degree in Dispute Resolution from Pepperdine Caruso Law.
Boasting over 15 years of varied professional experience, Alina has the knowledge and passion to leverage her skills to benefit her clients at Bradford and Barthel, ensuring impactful outcomes and adherence to the firm's foundational principles.
Alina is also esteemed for her pro bono work with veterans, a commitment driven by her own personal journey and a tribute to her late brother, a proud U.S. Army veteran. This dedication underscores her efforts in pro bono service and advocacy for the veteran community.
Ms. Mirzaian speaks Armenian fluently.
Beyond her professional life, Alina cherishes time spent with her family, friends, and beloved dogs, Bella and Sofia, reflecting her well-rounded and compassionate approach to her career and personal life.
