Marcus earned his B.A. in International Relations with a minor in Environmental Studies from the University of California, San Diego, in 2007. He earned his law degree from University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, with a concentration in Environmental Law in 2011.
Prior to joining Bradford & Barthel, Marcus advised clients and litigated a wide range of environmental matters involving natural resources, mining, water rights, and land use. Before this, Marcus practiced with Belzer & Carr LLP, representing property owners and government agencies, and specializing in real property rights, eminent domain, and inverse condemnation. Throughout law school, Marcus worked for several California state agencies, and also worked as a research assistant to support scholarship for a number of law journals.
Marcus joined B&B in our Sacramento office in 2014 and was made partner in 2017. When he’s not in the office, Marcus enjoys woodworking, restoring vintage furniture and vehicles, and spending time with his wife, cats, and expecting his first child in February 2021.
