Sue Hummel is a Certified Specialist in workers’ compensation and has been practicing since 1987.
Ms. Hummel worked for over 16 years with State Compensation Insurance Fund and has extensive experience in all aspects of the field of workers’ compensation. In her career, Ms. Hummel has been a vocal advocate of her clients’ interests and needs. She is a zealous advocate in court, and she has taken many cases to trial resulting in favorable decisions, including many resulting in a “take nothing.” In addition, she has handled a number of 100% exposure cases, as well as S&W and 132 (a) complaints against the employers.
In addition to her experience in court, Ms. Hummel also has taught a variety of classes to both attorneys and claims examiners. She grew up in Ohio and graduated from the University of Toledo in Ohio in 1980. Her Juris Doctorate Degree was from Pacific Coast University School of Law in 1987, when she was also admitted to practice law in the State of California. Ms. Hummel takes pride in being accessible to her clients, and she works aggressively to move each case to a prompt and favorable resolution or trial.
