professional bio
Finding a true passion for the workers’ compensation arena, Ted Grozen opted to specialize in this field and has never looked back. With nearly 40 years in the industry, he has served in numerous roles over his career including Adjuster, Investigator, Hearing Rep, Claims Manager, and Home Office Complex Claims Analyst.
Ted has personally appeared at 20 of the 23 WCAB district offices across for MSCs, Status Conferences and trials. His particular niche focuses on large, complex claims involving catastrophic injuries, structured settlements and Medicare Set-Aside issues. He thrives on negotiating resolutions that benefit all parties, and finds his greatest professional satisfaction in bringing together parties on difficult cases.
Ted earned the CPCU designation in 1997, and served as San Diego chapter president as well as a member of the CPCU convention committee. He has been an instructor for the Insurance Education Association, and is a licensed Private Investigator.
Mr. Grozen graduated from Duke University on a Navy ROTC scholarship, thereafter serving as a U.S. Naval Officer in the aviation sector.
When not mired in the thrilling work environment, he will most likely be found in an athletic endeavor, volunteering at local service organizations, doing something Disney-related, or at the beach.
