Carlos Fox offer a look at the fundamentals that distinguish federal and state side workers’ compensation claims in California and how to identify in which jurisdiction (or jurisdictions) claims may be filed. With experience with fully-litigated federal workers’ compensation cases, Ms. Lalancette and Mr. Fox offer practice tips to ensure complete resolution of claims to avoid duplication of benefits to injured workers and discuss important differences in discovery strategies affected by state and federal jurisdictions.

1 hour of minimum continuing legal education (MCLE) will be provided to California workers’ compensation attorneys (must provide your state bar number upon registering).
CE Credits:
1 hour of continuing education credit will be provided for workers’ compensation adjusters in California.
