Wendy started her insurance career with Allstate Insurance in 1985, and in 1986, she moved to AIG, where she stayed until July 2024. During her time with AIG, she held several positions, including Hearing Representative, Litigation Manager, and Complex Claims Director. For the last 10 years, she served as a Workers Compensation Home Office Director in Settlement Strategy and Technical Oversight. A significant part of her role as Technical Oversight Director involved client relations, where she regularly interacted with insureds, claims professionals, and account management partners.
Throughout her time at AIG, Wendy closely followed Bradford & Barthel's trajectory and has always regarded them as partners in her work. She admired the firm's growth and its leadership in the defense industry, which she attributes to their talented attorneys and outstanding training programs. This perspective led her to pursue a role at B&B after leaving AIG, aiming to leverage her skills within the firm.
Wendy is a graduate of Cal State University, Fullerton, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Communications/Advertising. She holds a Self-Insurance certificate from the State of California, has been an instructor for WorkComp Central, and has participated as a speaker at the RIMS Western Conference on the topic of risk.
Residing in San Pasqual Valley in San Diego with her husband, a retired San Diego City Firefighter/Assistant Fire Marshal, Wendy enjoys a variety of activities. Her daily routine includes Pilates and Barre workouts, and she also enjoys traveling, camping, and spending time in Pebble Beach and Carmel. Recently, she took up surfing and is looking forward to sharing this new hobby with her husband.
