Alina Ahmed brings with her the essential abilities to develop strong relationships with clients, work cooperatively with opposing counsels to resolve claims, and serve as a strenuous and convincing advocate in court. Certified in Dispute Resolution by the prestigious Strauss Institute of Dispute Resolution, Alina's talents include unique, time tested skills for reaching reasonable solutions with unreasonable opposing counsel.
Prior to working at Bradford & Barthel, Alina gained experience in the legal field by clerking at the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office, where she assisted with preparing cases in the Target Crimes Division. Further, Alina worked as an Associate Attorney at Hanger, Steinberg, Shapiro, & Ash, a civil defense firm focusing on third-party insurance defense claims. Alina conducted dozens of witness depositions, drafted pre-trial motions, and wrote mediation briefs for multi-million dollar cases.
Alina graduated cum laude from UCLA. She received her Juris Doctorate from Pepperdine Caruso School of Law, and immediately thereafter was admitted to the California State Bar. Alina served as the Student Bar Association President of her law school and was honored to deliver the commencement speech at graduation. During the beginning of the pandemic, it became clear that law students were eager for social contact. Alina became the driving force in creating the first Annual Pepperdine Talent Show! Completely virtual, the show included about 20 different student acts and was judged by professors, much to the delight of the 150 attendees.
Throughout law school, Alina focused her coursework on a variety of subjects, including Dispute Resolution and Entertainment and Sports Law. However, Alina's favorite class was employment law, which began to open her eyes to the workers' compensation field. Actually - that's not entirely true. Alina has been hearing the term workers' compensation since she was born, as throughout Alina's entire life, her mother, Tahmeena Ahmed, has had an extensive and successful career at Bradford & Barthel.
In her free time, Alina loves watching movies with her husband and traveling with her family. Alina is also an avid pickleball player and has played random tournaments with her dad.
