Paul Thomsen was born in Idaho but spent his childhood and teenage years residing in Southern California.
He attended the United States Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, NY earning a B.S. in Maritime Transportation and Logistics, a Third Mate (unrestricted) license from the USCG, and a commission in the United States Navy Reserve as an Ensign. After receiving his undergraduate degree he was employed by A.P. Moller and its subsidiaries while serving in the Naval Reserve. Mr. Thomsen returned to school and obtained his Juris Doctor degree from Whittier Law School in Costa Mesa, CA. He was admitted to the practice of law in California in 2007. While attending law school he was a clerk for the Orange County District Attorney’s Office. He started his career practicing for a small firm in the areas of civil litigation, criminal defense, and workers’ compensation. This afforded him a wide knowledge base of the law. In April 2014, Mr. Thomsen joined Bradford & Barthel as an associate attorney. |
