Karen Wagner has practiced as a civil litigator in the insurance defense realm for years. She particularly enjoys complex litigation. Karen aggressively advocates on behalf of her clients' and helps litigants find resolutions to contentious disputes. She aims to achieve all of her clients objectives and finds that this often involves resolving matters as economically and expeditiously as possible. Such objectives play to her strengths.
Mrs. Wagner earned her law degree from the University of San Francisco where she served as the Law Review Articles Editor, participated in the Moot Court Honors program, and represented her school at the National Appellate Advocacy Competition. She also externed for California Supreme Court Associate Justice Marcus Kaufman. After graduation, she clerked for a federal judge and wrote legal practice guides for CCH, Thomson Reuters, and Barclays Law Publishers.
In her free time, Karen is active in the Rotary International and volunteers with the Community Food Bank, Achievement Beyond Obstacles, and local youth service groups. She and her family also enjoy skiing and hiking in the Sierras and Rockies.
