Chinwe C. Ohanele, Esq.

Chinwe Ohanele attended the University of the Pacific where she earned a B.A. in Economics and Philosophy with a minor in political science. Following her graduation, Ms. Ohanele attended Loyola Law School of Los Angeles where she was the president of the Black Law Student’s Association and the student founder of the Black Alumni Chapter.

During law school, Ms. Ohanele gained meaningful work experience as a research assistant for constitutional law professor Mr. Aaron Caplan, a volunteer at CHIRLA Los Angeles’s DACA program, and as a paralegal at the workers’ compensation law firm of Schwartz and Gale, now Schwartz and Chauhan.

Following graduation, Ms. Ohanele moved to New York to take part in an immigration fellowship in Brooklyn, New York. As the close of the fellowship, Ms. Ohanele then sat for and passed the New York, and New Jersey bar exams. After returning to California, Ms. Ohanele then sat for and passed the California bar exam.

Though Ms. Ohanele does extensive volunteer work in the African entrepreneurial space through her work with the African Technology Foundation, she predominantly practices workers’ compensation law.

In her free time, Ms. Ohanele enjoys hiking, cooking Nigerian dishes, and traveling.
