professional bio
Brian Harbaugh's entire legal career has been dedicated to the defense of employer rights. He developed this focus immediately after earning his Juris Doctorate
degree from Empire School of Law. Prior to that, he received his Bachelor of Arts from
Sonoma State University.
Mr. Harbaugh's work on behalf of employers includes Human Resources and Safety Manager positions, giving him the added benefit of understanding his clients' particular legal needs and concerns.
When not aggressively defending a workers' compensation case-in-chief, Brian enjoys developing defense strategies with and for employers dealing with Labor Code 132a and Serious & Willful claims. His strategy is to prepare all of his cases as if they may go to trial. His record of successes demonstrates that this approach typically helps expedite expeditious and economical file resolution, sometimes as early as his initial contact with opposing counsel. He often resolutions matters at depostion, thereby decreasing client exposure and minimizing defense costs. His reputation as an aggressive litigator ensures that applicant's attorneys will give serious consideration as to whether they would prefer to avoid litigating matters he is defending.
A proud father of twin boys, Adam and Bradley, Mr. Harbaugh enjoys fishing, camping, golf and coaching baseball and wrestling.
